Cocktail Reception of new co-chairs of LGBTI Intergroup

Dear friends,

it’s been one year since Chechnya. Bulgaria will not ratify the Istanbul Convention on ending violence against women, because it allegedly propagates “gender ideology”. Although Germany introduced marriage equalities, the number of homophobic attacks increased in 2017.

We are witnessing this backlash everywhere in Europe and beyond. Populists, nationalists and fundamental Christians are trying to turn back time. Rights we have fought for are being taken away again. It is in these times, that it is ever more important that we are loud and united, that we take the streets and parliaments. It is in these times, that strong alliances are more important than ever.

This is why we want to warmly invite you to a cocktail reception on the occasion of the recent appointment and renewal of the co-presidency of the LGBTI Intergroup.
