Webinar: Ensuring Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights
The necessary restrictions under the Corona pandemic severely limit the freedom and movement of all people. This situation makes access to contraceptives, doctors and counselling centres increasingly more difficult. In particular, the question of how to ensure access to abortion has been a pressing issue since the beginning of the crisis. We would like to discuss the important aspects of sexual health and self-determination with experts in this field and invite you to our webinar with English-German translation.
Webinar: “Ensuring Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights during COVID-19 and beyond” on May 19th, 6-7.30pm
– Katrine Thomasen, Center for Reproductive Rights
– Krystyna Kacpura, Federation for Women and Family Planning (Poland)
– Alicia Baier, Doctors for Choice Germany
– Ulle Schauws, Green Member of the German Bundestag
– Terry Reintke, Green Member of the European Parliament
The legal arrangements for abortion care vary in the EU Member States. Some unwanted pregnant women have to travel abroad to have an abortion. This has also become difficult or impossible under the current situation. This is why access to abortion drugs, which patients can perform at home, if necessary, has become more important. In our discussion, we want to take get a European perspective highlighting challenges and best practice, while also focusing on concrete countries and situations such as in Poland and Germany.
We are looking forward to your participation!
