Call for Policy Assistant to the Youth Intergroup

Job description

  • Support the work of the Youth Intergroup
  • Provide research and briefings on EU policy issues, especially on youth
  • Assist with the daily work of the Intergroup Chair and Bureau (briefings, notes, correspondence)
  • Support the drafting of position papers
  • Assistance in organising meetings, events and campaigns
  • Attend conferences and prepare reports for the Youth Intergroup
  • Establish relations with NGOs and youth organisations
  • Contribute to other duties as assigned

Your profile

  • Strong interest in politics
  • Very good understanding of EU institutions and politics; working experience in the European Parliament is an asset
  • Experience in organising meetings and events
  • Fluency in English and, if possible, good understanding of French; knowledge of a third EU language is an asset
  • High motivation and proactivity
  • Very good research and writing skills

Practical information

  • Location: European Parliament
  • Duration: March 2016 until the end of legislature
  • Remuneration: + /-1800 euros net
